Serendipity Stamps New Blog Challenge

Good morning

I have some great news to share with you! As you know Mary, the owner of Serendipity Stamps sets the DT a challenge twice a month, well now you can get involved too because Serendipity Stamps now have a Challenge Blog! We are all very excited about this and hope you will be too!
(graphic designed by Anya Schrier!)

You can join in the fun and play along with all the challenges - here is a link to SSBC#1,  the very first challenge on the Serendipity Stamps Blog - I hope to see you there!

There will be a special blog badge for the entry that WOWs us, and a separate random drawing for $20 off your next order at Serendipity Stamps.  Mary will still be offering all those great specials - this week is Free Shipping on all continental US orders of $10 or more valid December 5-12, 2012.

We also have two new Design Team members joining us too! Mary Beth Lopez joins us for our very first blog challenge and Anya Schrier will re-join us from January! Wow, these ladies are both super talented so there will be lots of Serendipity inspired goodness to feast your eyes on!!

So, onto this challenge. We were asked to create a Honeycomb/Accordian effect on our cards. It's a relatively simple and fun technique to try - there is a tutorial HERE if you are not familiar with it.

  Serendipity 5 Dec

I used some pretty Little Yellow Bicycle 'Twig' patterned paper for the background and 'Fuchsia Flowerdot' for the butterfly which I cut using Serendipity Stamps Butterfly die. The sentiment is so versatile - love it! and is from the 'Everyday Words Large Cling Set'. I simply stamped in Paris Dusk ink onto a hand cut banner.  I finished with ivory ribbon bow and a Websters Pages sparkler!

Do stop by the rest of the Serendipity design team members - just click on their names to jump to their blog.

You can use any brand die, but you must include one Serendipity Stamps design on your submission.  If you don't have a blog, you can still play - just link up to any online gallery (e.g. Splitcoast or Flickr).
You have two whole weeks to play!

This is beautiful Helen . Love the printed paper, solid butterfly, and soft colors you chose. Perfect bow and fun clear button. Love the detailed die you chose to have the butterfly on. Wonderful card to start the new CB with.
