Serendipity Stamps October Blog Challenge - ScorPal

Good Morning sweet blogging friends!

Welcome to the first October Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop. Our challenge this month is to use our Scor-Pal/Scor-It boards to create a 3-D project.

Untitled

I adapted this Scor-Pal tutorial to create a small treat bag/box to hang on the Christmas tree. I used the beautiful Serendipity Stamps Ornament die to create the main focus of the box. I simply used the die with some glittered cardstock, adding a few little icy blue gems - but not too many as I wanted the beautiful intricacy of the die to shine through! The largest blue die cut is cut from a gorgeous textured piece that has a lovely sheen to it - just right for Christmas! The next layer is a snowflake cut from some white vellum and finally the beautiful ornament, backed with more of that lovely dark blue.

I used the matching Serendipity Ornament Cling Stamp to create a random pattern all over the inside and outside of the box template by stamping it in Encore Ultimate Metallic Silver ink.

Untitled

I adhered a little sparkly punched border along each side of the box then punched a hole and threaded a shiny string of pearls to make the handle and it's all ready to suspend from the Christmas tree!
Untitled

I decided to make the bottom edge of the larger dark blue die straight so that the box will stand up independently. Really pleased with how this turned out - would be great filled with chocolate or sweets or in my case,  the next best thing - lace!

Very cute idea Helen...this is one I am going to have to try...love that gorgeous ornament and the way you also stamped it for patterned paper was very smart. I love your idea to add lace as the filler for this...way less fattening, but doubt my kids would appreciate lace as much as I would!
