DYSU#95 Embossing

Hello and a very warm welcome to another Thursday Challenge at Do You Stack Up.
Our challenge this week is to use 'EMBOSSING' - wet, dry or both on your project.

I used the Paper Pretties 'Apple Basket' digi image on my card. I simply coloured the image using Copic markers and shaded the apples using some pencils.

DYSU#95 detail

The centre panel of my card is kraft cardstock that has been dry embossed using a Sizzix folder. I inked up the embossing folder with Tea Dye Distress ink to give a subtle letterpress effect.  The papers are by Cosmo Cricket available here and the seam binding along the centre has been dyed using Coffee and scrunched for a slightly vintage look. I layered the ribbon over the kraft panel and some cream card punched using a Fiskars bracket border punch, distressed with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I finished with cream seam binding and sparkler embellishment by Websters Pages. No sentiment on this as yet - keeping it open as an all occasion card!

Here are our sponsors this week...

*winners choice of 5 digi stamps*

*Winner's Choice of 3 Digital Stamps

Fantastic apple image, Helen, and the embossing is wonderful. Great idea to ink up the folder before using it. I forget about that technique and need to do some of it again soon.
