TRR#36 - Love Potion #9

Untitled

Happy Monday to you! Hope you all had a great weekend.

Well it's time for another fun challenge at The Ribbon Reel and this time I chose the picture below for your inspiration. I really hope it will inspire you to maybe come play along - we would all love to see you there. Use the photo as a jumping off point for your creativity and most of all - have fun!!

Its a VINTAGE theme - use BLACK and WHITE and a splash of {bright} pink and don't forget the RIBBON or TWINE... :)

My husband and I have just celebrated our 11th Wedding Anniversary on 1st September so I went for a little 'Vintage Love' theme on my card for today's challenge.
I used some beautiful black satin pleated ribbon and loopy trim from 'The Ribbon Reel' onto which I added a chalk white seam binding bow, a pink cherry blossom flower and two little white flowers - also available from The Ribbon Reel store.

I stamped the script label from Waltzingmouse's Very Vintage Labels 4 and cut out using Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities. I wanted to draw the eye to the 'Love' sentiment, so I added pink to the centre of the stamp and black ink to the rest and fussy cut around the beautiful detail of this design, using just a touch of Antique Linen distress ink on those edges. I love the beautiful intricacy of those flourishes on this label stamp from the 'Wanda's Pantry' set by Waltzingmouse stamps.

The background is made up of patterned papers cut to size and I used my Fiskars lacey edged punch to add a little extra detail along the left hand side of the card (not sure if that comes across very clearly in the photos).  The layout of my card was inspired by the current Waltzingmouse Sketch (WMSC#113) by lovely Lynn Mercurio. I just turned the sketch 90 degrees to the right to make a portrait rather than landscape card.
