TRR34 'RETRO'

Hey everyone!! It's Monday and time for a BRAND NEW challenge over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog!
For the next two weeks, we would like to see your 'Retro' themed creations!

For the next two weeks, Zuzana is challenging us to create a card/project using the colours from the inspiration picture she has chosen and to use a FLOWER and some Ribbon/Twine/Lace.

We also have a super-talented Jeanne Jachna joining us as Guest Designer at The Ribbon Reel Challenge this month and could not be more delighted!! Please visit her wonderful blog 'A Kept Life' for her beautiful creation for this challenge and lots more gorgeous inspiration that will surely knock your socks off.

I had SO much fun creating this card...the colours are out of my usual spectrum, but I found that I LOVE using them!

Untitled

I used lots of lovely, yummy ribbon from The Ribbon Reel shop to create lots of little flags and then suspended them from some natural button twine to make a banner across the top of my card.  I used a little Mason Jar from Cosmo Cricket's Tea for Two 'Ready, Set, Chip' chipboard pieces and stamped 'Hello' from Waltzingmouse stamps 'Fancy Phrases' set using brown ink.  I added some small aqua pom-pom trim around the lid of the jar and a sweet moulded flower embellishment.

Untitled

I used papers from K and Co's 'Poppy Seeds' Designer Mat Pad for the background and also for the gingham doily on the kraft tag.

We would LOVE to see what you come up with for this challenge and don't forget that you can link up your project and see the rest of the FANTASTIC 'Retro' inspired designs from the rest of the Ribbon Reel Design Team by visiting The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Hi Helen! Stunning as always! Wow I love the way you used the ribbon for your banner accross the top - adding so much texture and contrast an all the little embellies on each one. I am so delighted to be playing along with you this week at the RR! Great big hugs!
