DYSU86 - Fantasy

Hello and welcome to my first post as Design Team member over at the Do You Stack Up (DYSU) weekly blog challenge.

This week the challenge is to create something with a 'Fantasy' theme.

Here are our sponsors:

Here's my take...

DYSU#86 closed view

I decided to create a fairytale castle for my princess.  I should thank my husband for creating the template for me.  I simply printed several times onto cardstock and stamped straight onto it.  I used some MME wood effect paper for the door and several Waltzingmouse Stamps sets to add the detail to the windows and door.

and inside holds a little birthday surprise...

DYSU#86 Fantasy

The little froggy on the door and the princess inside are both from the Heroines Fairy Princess set by Waltzingmouse. I coloured both of the images using Copics and paper pieced her little dress with more patterned paper from MME.

If you would like to join us this week then visit the DYSU blog for COMPLETE details and for some wonderful inspiration from the rest of the DT.  Have fun!

Other challenges for this card:

Creative Stamp Friends - Special Card Shape
Craft your passion - Power of 3 (I used 3+ pink pearls)
Marker Pop Challenge - Kids/Back to School
Fashionista Challenge 6 - Card for a Child

Supplies:

Waltzingmouse Stamps: Very Vintage Labels 2 (iron crosses on windows); Nordic Spring (heart border), Heroines - Fairy Princess; Earth Angel (Happy Birthday sentiment); A Cottage Home (ironwork on castle door)
Patterned paper: MME
Ink: Memento Pink Petunia, Tuxedo Black, London Fog, Copic Markers
Adhesive pearls
