TRR29 - Use A die cut shape or punch

Hi crafty people,

It's my turn to host the Ribbon Reel Challenge this fortnight and I have chosen the following photo to inspire you to create something using a die cut/punch of some sort AND use a Flower, Ribbon and twine! Easy Peasey! This photo appears courtesy of Leslie at A Creative Mint...

Here's my card...

The flower is handmade by me using some green satin ribbon from The Ribbon Reel and some sweet pale blue stamens my mum gave me - simply gather ribbon using a running stitch along one edge leaving a smallish hole in the middle and pop some stamens (or large brad/button) into the centre and glue using the strongest glue you can fine - hot glue gun works really well for this.  I'm really pleased with how this turned out!

The flower sits on top of a butterfly from the Wonderful Wings die set by Spellbinders.  I used Bridal White satin ribbon, some gorgeous May Arts Watermelon crochet lace and celery green loopy trim - all available from The Ribbon Reel.

Here's a close up of that lovely sentiment - lovely font don't you think? I stamped onto some patterned paper and  cut the label using Spellbinders ribbon tags trio. I used some natural button twine  to attach the card over the top of some more of the stunning bridal satin ribbon - all from The Ribbon Reel.

You can find FULL details of the challenge and link up your entry over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog. Oh, and don't forget to visit the rest of the DT and leave them some love too!

As always, thanks for looking!
