Happy St Patricks Day - Waltzingmouse Stamps March Blog Party

Happy St Patricks Day everyone! And a very warm welcome to you...

Waltzingmouse Stamps are having their monthly Blog Party today and yes, you've guessed it the theme is St Patricks Day or create something in 'Green'.  Everyone is welcome to take part and you can find all the relevant details on the Waltzingmouse Blog by clicking HERE.

LUCKY IN LOVE WMS MAR BLOG PARTY

I decided to make something with an Irish theme but with a little twist.  I pulled out the wonderful Celtic Heritage Set and French Country to create a little something for my lovely husband...a little something to go with his cup of coffee..would look cute on a breakfast tray too!

I stamped the background to my card using one of the shamrock images from the Celtic Heritage set - the leaves remind me a little of hearts which is what gave me the idea of making something for Jon :) I then stamped the gorgeous border from French Country to make a central border strip and adhered to the front of my card. I added some lovely green and white bakers twine to the front of the card as well and then set to work on my sentiment.  I also hand cut a couple of extra shamrocks and added some 'Irish Gold' Bling to the centre of them and added to my card.

I used the label from 'French Country' and an oval frame from 'Cameo Creations' to create green frame. I used a copic marker to go around and add a little extra colour to the labels. You can just make out the heart from 'Celtic Heritage' stamped in Antique Linen distress ink in the centre to make a subtle background to the 'Lucky in Love' sentiment - all taken from the many words included in the Celtic Heritage set.

The mini 'Bon Appetit' card was created using the sweet ornate frame and one of many lovely sentiments from French Country, stamped using Versamark ink and then heat embossed using white embossing powder. I added another vibrant green Shamrock with gold centre to carry on the 'Lucky Irish' theme.

Bon Appetit Label

That's all I have to share today, so I'm off to visit all the other wonderful blogs on the list and soak up all the lovely "Green" projects.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hugs,

Helen xx
