Handmade shopping loveliness!!

Hi everyone,

It's been a little while since my last post...I'm just popping in with a few of my favourite things right now. I have done a little bit of shopping via some great crafts people, all of whom I found on Facebook originally-all of whom have small to medium crafts businesses. I would never have even thought about shopping for these types of things on Facebook before I started my own Doll making business,  'Little Ida Crafts' and started looking for new ways of interacting with my marketplace and it has really opened up a whole new world of shopping possibilities hehehehe!

First shopping item are these gorgeous cards from Artwork by Angie and are available to buy via her website.

Second item is this gorgeous wee Fairy House from Jo over at Purkilicious...I just couldn't resist this! How CUTE? It is going to look so cute on the shelf by my sewing machine...would love to know what's going on in Fairy land right now!

Third up is this cute pink wooden ballerina dress with my business name from the sweet Emma over at Theodoras Box...

and finally these (almost) too good to eat bumble bee and chick Oreo Pops from Maple Mollys - mmmm, scrummy! Must not eat! must not eat! must not eat! - they are supposed to be for my two boys lol!

that's all for now - I hope you like what you see :)
Have a lovely evening x

Few more photos of Giveaway dolly

Loads of time to enter my "You choose the eyes" giveaway over at www.facebook.com/littleidacrafts would love you to leave a comment of which style of eyes you would like - would also be great if you liked my page. Choose from smiling, sleepy or embroidered colour.
Here are a few more shots of this lovely little lady...complete with reversible tunic dress, bloomers, and gorgeous vintage lace skirt - so proud of her <3 p="">

**GIVEAWAY** over on my Facebook page...

Good morning everyone!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Oxfordshire (so far!) Myself, husband and our two boys had a wonderful week away at a remote cottage on the Herefordshire/Welsh border for the half-term holiday but I'm looking forward to getting my craft on and working on my next set of doll orders. But before I do, I'm launching a giveaway on my Facebook page that you may be interested in...it's a sweet new design which I'm proud of -  I have given her some pink highlights and she also has a little reversible peasant style tunic dress for two completely different looks :) I'm kind of thinking it may just have been easier to make two separate dresses, but I liked the idea so ran with it!!
I'm giving the winner the choice of how they would like the face embroidered (which is why she looks unfinished) The choices are smiling eyes, sleepy eyes or embroidered coloured eyes!

Thanks for looking - I would love to know what you think of her!! Pop on over to my Facebook page and say Hi - would be great if you could enter too:)

Fairy Frost Inspiration

I am SO loving the Michael Miller Fairy Frost range right now - can't wait to share some new makes with you all!!  I came across this post on their blog and just thought it was adorable (and very inspiring as a dolly maker)!

Well, it's been a week of celebrations (my son's 8th Birthday) and innovations - making bespoke patterns for custom request clothing!!
Before I get back to the sewing machine, here are a couple of recent custom projects...

Sweet 19 inch dolly with removable green cardigan, cute pinafore and removable skirt and tulle tutu! Her uniform matches her new mummy's who happens to be starting school in September <3 p="">

Two cute 'Minnie's' for twin girls first birthday

Thanks so much for looking :)

Question for you...

You may have noticed that I've changed my blog slightly!! I am in the process of merging my dolly making page onto blogger but it's still a work in progress!

I have a question for you - there is a very special family birthday coming up, my youngest, Jamie will be 8 years old on 2nd July I am after some lovely handmade items (cards or presents) for him, something a little bit different. So if you have a page that does things for boys I would love to see them and will share a few on my Facebook page tomorrow night. Pop me a comment or tag your Facebook/selling pages below.

TRR#59 - Chevrons and Flowers

Welcome to another beautiful challenge from The Ribbon Reel.

Sweet Michelle Bala has chosen such an inspiring photo for our current challenge - isn't this cushion amazing? Such beautiful contrasting colours and design. Michelle is challenging us to use the COLOURS that you can see in the photo and create a project using CHEVRONS and FLOWERS!

I couldn't resist the lovely fabulous chevron paper I have had in my stash for some time. It's from the DCWV 'La Creme' Stack I added an MFT die cut leafy flourish, a cute little chipboard birdcage and added tons of beautiful Ribbon Reel goodies!! For the sentiment, I simply stamped the 'Sweet Birthday Wishes' phrase from Waltzingmouse's 'Compact Sentiments' straight over the patterned paper! I just love the contrast of the cerise pink, black, orange against the wonderful chevrons in Michelle's photo and that is where I found my inspiration.

I used the following products available right now in the Ribbon Reel Store.
A beautiful cerise hybrid tea-rose; cream/orange cherry blossoms; pink hybrid tea rose; the sweetest little 'Made with Love' Nickel charm. And not forgetting the absolutely stunning ribbons I was lucky enough to play with !  16mm Fuschia Pink Two Tone Mesh Ribbon; 15mm Ruffle Edge Black Sheer Ribbon; 9mm Orange Grosgrain Ribbon.

Click HERE to go to The Ribbon Reel Challenge blog and take part. You never know, you could be in with a chance of winning some AMAZING goodies from The Ribbon Reel store!!

Til next time!
